African Water Works provides an EPC turnkey solution as well as the operation and maintenance of Biopipe systems in Africa.
Biopipe is a sludge-free, on-site wastewater treatment system that is 100% sludge-free, chemical-free, and odor-free. Its installation is easy, scalable, affordable, ecological, and virtually maintenance-free. Importantly, water can be recycled repeatedly: if 1,000 liters of sewage wastewater enters the system, 1,000 liters of clean water is discharged. The treated water meets worldwide standards for discharge and reuse.
As the world increasingly adopts eco-friendly solutions, Biopipe offers businesses, households, hotels, and governments a way to reduce their environmental footprint by reusing wastewater in a continual cycle without generating solid waste by-products. Biopipe serves as a cost-effective alternative to traditional centralized sewage treatment plants, which are expensive and time-consuming to construct.
Biopipe is a patented, fully biological, and decentralized wastewater treatment system successfully deployed in India, South Africa, and the UAE. Its features include:
- Sludge-Free: Eliminates the need for costly sludge removal.
- Chemical-Free: Safe for communities and the environment.
- Compact & Scalable: Suitable for households, schools, and informal settlements.
- Silent & Odorless: Safe for high-density areas.
- Water Reuse-Ready: Provides treated water for non-potable reuse
African Water Works offers an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) turnkey solution for the operation and maintenance of the DMI 65® media and package water filtration plant.
The DMI65® is an industry-leading, sustainable filtration product specifically designed for water treatment. As a 100% sustainable solution, DMI65® contributes to the circular economy by utilizing materials that are not only highly effective but also environmentally responsible. The matrix material of DMI65® is a by-product of the glass manufacturing industry, which reduces waste by using materials that would otherwise be discarded.
Additionally, the manufacturing process of DMI65® employs fewer chemicals compared to traditional filtration media, further minimizing its environmental impact. One of the key advantages of DMI65® is its longevity; it lasts up to five times longer than conventional filtration media, significantly reducing the frequency of replacements and lowering overall operational costs.
Moreover, DMI65® helps decrease wasted backwash water, energy consumption, and carbon emissions, making it an ideal choice for water treatment systems that aim for improved sustainability and efficiency.
African Water Works supplies a diverse range of Viking Johnson couplings in Africa, including the MaxiFit series.
MaxiFit universal pipe couplings are designed to connect plain-ended pipes with varying outside diameters. One fitting can accommodate a wide range of pipe materials, including steel, ductile iron, PVC, cast iron, GRP, and asbestos cement pipes, among others. The range includes the following product lines:
- MaxiFit Plus – DN50 – DN150
- MaxiFit Small Diameter – DN40 – DN300
- MaxiFit Large Diameter – DN40 – DN350 – DN700
The MaxiFit range is designed and manufactured in accordance with quality management systems to BS EN ISO 9001. It complies with the UK Water Regulations and BS EN 14525. Additionally, the DN40 to DN300 sizes have been independently tested by BSI to ensure compliance with these standards.
Wide Tolerance
With a tolerance of up to 34mm on the pipe outside diameter, installation is made easier, which can help reduce the necessity for expensive and time-consuming trial holes. This feature also decreases stock holding and increases stock turnover. MaxiFit is an adaptable and economical solution for most pipe connections. All products in this range can withstand a test pressure of 24 bar for water (9 bar for gas) and are suitable for a working pressure of 16 bar for water (6 bar for gas).
Extensive Range
The extensive range is available in sizes from DN40 up to DN700 and includes MaxiFit couplings, MaxiFitXtra long-sleeved couplings, MaxiStep reducing couplings, MaxiDaptor flange adaptors, MaxiCap, MaxiThread End Cap, MaxiFit Large Diameter couplings, flange adaptors, and MaxiFit Plus products.flange adaptors & MaxiFit Plus
